We are able to print your custom designed materials, provided it is a product that we currently offer. There are certain limitations that apply.
File Formats:
We will support all of the file formats from the list below of Supported Applications. In addition, we will accept TIFF, EPS and “Print Ready” PDF files. (Print Ready PDF files are files created to specific attributes for high end output devices. These files should have PDF/X or Press Ready settings, consisting of little or no downsampling of the images, retaining spot color information, and embedding all of the fonts.)
*Please note: Not all PDF files are Print Ready. While you may be able to save or export a PDF, it may not be usable for high end output. Please check your program manuals to verify the type of PDF it will create.
JPEG (JPG): This is not a suitable format for high end printing. The JPEG file format was developed to display photographs and other continuous tone images for the Web. This file format reproduces very poor results when output on our high end devices.
Fonts:
If you are submitting a file from a program that does not allow you to convert the fonts to outlines, you must include all the fonts that are used within your file. You must include Printer and Screen fonts. We also accept TrueType and OpenType fonts. If you are using PC fonts, please include the AFM, PFM, and PFB files for the fonts that are used.
Colors:
We work within the Pantone Matching System (PMS). Please indicate the specific Pantone Colors from the PMS listing, unless you are using a custom color. If you require a Custom Spot Color, you must send in a printed sample for the purpose of color matching. Please call 1-800-243-5250 for further information.
Scans and Images:
If you are submitting an illustration file with placed or linked images, you must include those image files separately. The resolution (dpi / ppi) must be at 300 dpi or higher, and the image must be the actual size or slightly larger than the placed image in the illustration file. The image file should be saved as Bitmap or Grayscale, and should be in TIFF or EPS file format.
* Do not reduce the page size and increase the image file resolution. This will produce a poor image file. The image must be created or scanned at 300 dpi or higher. If an image begins at a low resolution (below 300 dpi), the pixel information needed to produce a quality image will not be present.
*Do not use images off of or intended for the Web. Web images are very low resolution (72 dpi), and will not be acceptable for high end output. We are unable to accept any image with a resolution below 300 dpi.
