Your stationery makes a statement about who you are and what you have to offer. It is the most consistent and highly visible representation of your business image. A paper's finish can give your projects and correspondence it's own unique feel (linen can convey the warmth of home, while a laid finish presents a quality of boldness). And because the recipients of your correspondence respond to sight as well as touch, color can also turn an ordinary project into something vibrant and unusual. Just look at the many color and texture choices available to you through our linen and laid finish stocks…they'll help you stand apart from the rest! Summon an emotion: add a tactile and visual experience to your correspondence and be remembered!
Laid Finish
A watermark finish providing a pattern that resembles impressions of a chain. This effect is produced during the papermaking process with a special roller that creates the pattern in the wet paper. This gives the appearance of translucent lines running horizontally and vertically across the paper, as well as an interesting tactile quality. Grayarc® offers this premium heavy-weight paper in 4 pleasing colors from Baronial Ivory to Brilliant White---an upbeat style for a modern image.
Linen Finish
For a luxurious look and feel reminiscent of fine French linen, look no further. This finish is usually produced after the papermaking process as an offline embossing process. The result is a uniform surface with just a hint of texture in the subtle crosshatch design. The distinction of a lovely percale linen is the perfect way to express your style.
Bond Finish
Our Bond papers are crisp and distinctive, making them a classic choice for stationery needs. Bond paper was originally developed for printing bonds and stock certificates, and thus its name. It is ideal for engraving and fine printing because of its smooth, durable characteristics.
Crane's Crest
Crane's & Company have been manufacturing superior grade paper and supplying the U.S. currency paper since 1879… and for good reason. Crane's Crest stands alone as one of the premier papers available for stationery. Its luxurious feel and smooth elegant appearance are perfect for correspondence that strives for class and distinction. The Crane's Crest watermark represents sophistication and success.
…and what about 25% Cotton vs 100% Cotton?
The intrinsic strength and softness of cotton fibers will be yours regardless of the fiber percentage offered. Because cotton can endure the test of time, you will find that many historical documents have been preserved because they were printed on 100% cotton paper. Cotton fibers bind together more strongly and are naturally brighter than wood-fiber papers, giving them a naturally clean, brilliant appearance. While not quite as durable as 100% cotton, our 25% cotton does provide you with a more economical choice for a fine stationery product. All of our Premium and Professional stationery products contain either 25% or 100% cotton.
